Bespoke ponds, restorations, and maintenance.
A selection of examples of work we have completed.
A Full Wildlife Pond Restoration with Multi-Drop Waterfall – November 2025
Our clients originally had a small wildlife pond, stream, and waterfall installed when they moved into their home, but had ongoing issues, most notably persistent water loss from the stream. Despite several attempts by others, the system hadn’t run properly for quite some time.
We fully investigated the leak, removed the failed concrete stream, and installed a new liner system to ensure long-term stability. The pond was extended, with the addition of pools, creating a more natural vista.
Re-landscaped for Better Views
To allow the couple to enjoy the feature from indoors as well as outdoors, we adjusted the alignment of the pond and waterfall so they can be viewed clearly from both the kitchen window and the lounge patio doors.
New Multi-Drop Waterfall With Lighting
We replaced the original waterfall with a new multi-drop design, each drop adding movement, sound, and oxygenation. Colour-changing lights were added at the customer’s request within the falls, giving the customer control over the atmosphere day or night.
Trusting the Process
As seen in the progress photos, pond work can look muddy and disruptive, especially in autumn storms, but every stage leads toward the final vision. Although the water was still cloudy on the handover day, we’ll return once it settles for a final clean and tidy, ready for spring.
Another pond rescued, and now the customers can enjoy their refreshed wildlife haven once again, from indoors and out.
Reclaiming a Lost Wildlife Pond with Heavy Excavation & Long-Term Care – October 2025
This project began with a former wildlife pond that had become completely overgrown and deeply silted, to the point where nothing could survive in it anymore. One side of the pond, which used to flow beneath a bridge, had silted up entirely, cutting the pond in two. The bridge had effectively become a viewing platform with no water flowing beneath it and no connection between the sections.
Heavy Machinery for a Safe, Effective Rescue
Due to the extent of the silt and overgrowth, we brought in heavy machinery to safely reclaim the pond. This allowed us to remove the compacted material efficiently and carefully tunnel back under the bridge, reopening the channel and reuniting both sides of the pond.
The original shape, depth, and flow were restored, returning the pond to something that could once again support life.
Setting the Pond Up for Long-Term Health
To prevent the pond from slipping back into decline, the customer has joined our ongoing water treatment plan. With regular Oase treatments, the water will stay clear, healthy, and wildlife-friendly, while helping to keep future silt build-up under control.
It’s the perfect example of why maintenance is essential, even for wildlife ponds and especially those surrounded by trees or areas prone to natural debris.
A Wildlife Haven in the Making
Although the pond will settle further over the coming months, the transformation is already underway. The customer has reported insect and birdlife returning almost immediately, and we can’t wait to revisit in spring to see the pond fully integrated back into the landscape—clear, vibrant, and alive once more.
Another pond saved, and a beautiful habitat restored.
Bespoke Triangular Pond & Garden Transformation – September 2025
Our customer began with the classic new-build garden – a plain, uninspiring expanse of turf with little character or functionality. They wanted something unique that would create a real focal point in their outdoor space.
We designed and built a one-of-a-kind triangular sleeper pond, featuring two specially manufactured glass viewing panels for a stunning underwater perspective. To complete the system, we installed:
- An Oase 60cm waterfall blade with integrated lighting for a striking water feature
- A full Oase filtration set-up, including the Filtoclear 31000 and SwimSkim 25 pond skimmer, ensuring clear and healthy water
- A bespoke roof structure, carefully built to provide shade and maintain water quality
Beyond the pond itself, the transformation included a full patio installation and four matching raised beds, all designed to complement the contemporary style of the pond. Every bed and the pond were fitted with custom electrical systems..
The result is a garden that has been completely reimagined – from an empty new-build plot to a stunning, functional, and bespoke outdoor living space.
Community Project – Ellingham Primary School – August 2025
Pure Ponds & Aquatics were proud to support Ellingham Primary School by donating our time and expertise free of charge to completely rebuild their pond. The original structure had rotten walls and a leaking liner, making it unusable for the children and unsafe for the resident goldfish.
We carried out a full rebuild free of charge, giving the school a pond that is both safe and long-lasting. The new design includes:
- Strong sleeper walls, providing a sturdy edge where children can safely sit and watch the fish
- A brand-new pond liner, ensuring the pond remains watertight for many years to come
This project was made possible with the generous support of Kings Landscaping, who donated the liner, and Travis Perkins, Beccles, who supplied the sleepers.
At Pure Ponds & Aquatics, we don’t only create high-specification or luxury ponds. We work with ponds of all sizes and budgets, finding the right solution for each space. The result here is a simple, practical pond that the children – and the fish – can enjoy for years ahead.
